Liberty St Renovation
Renovations to existing houses, especially pre-war ones, can be quite challenging. Small windows, small, disconnected rooms, previous additions that don’t fit or help to tie spaces together let alone outdated electrical, mechanical & plumbing systems. Oh my! This particular type of project I refer to as a ‘surgical renovation’ – keep what works, modify what doesn’t, add only what is needed; otherwise the scope creep can overwhelm even the most hardened homeowner.
This 1930s home needed a Kitchen fit for a former chef, Office space for working parents and kids, much needed outdoor living – with views of Pisgah & Spivey Mountain included - and to appeal to the artist in us all, a vibrant pop of color on the full length pantry cabinet wall.
